For improved accuracy and efficient pre-machining, UCB Metalli is investing in new machine tools for the site in Piacenza.

The addition of a new Behringer HBE 1060A to the cutting area allows UCB Metalli to not only cut dimensions up to 1060mm x 1060mm, but also to saw more bars in bundles. This enhances our efficiency whilst maintaining tight tolerances.

Another special feature of this machine is the new software developed to provide the user with optimized cutting parameters. Using the in-built materials list, the user enters bar dimensions and number of bars from which the saw automatically sets the optimal force and blade speed, standardising cutting rules and helping reduce saw blade wear and usage.
